Gadens Merger

The Partners of Maunsell Pennington have announced their merger with Brisbane law firm Gadens Lawyers. The merger takes effect on 1 February 2011. The new merged entity will be known as Gadens Lawyers, and its office will be at Level 25 Commonwealth Bank Building, 240 Queen Street.

This merger has only taken place after the partners of the respective firms identified symmetries in their culture and their attitude to client service. Gadens was chosen for merger because they have a similar commitment to corporate social responsibility and to offering personal and tailored service to their clients. They believe in maintaining direct personal contact with their clients at all times. As you know, that's always been a priority here, and will remain our commitment going forward at the new practice.

Gadens is a national law firm with separate federated offices in all mainland States and in PNG. It’s one of the top 10 national firms and has carved out a niche delivering mid-market transaction work in the property, commercial law, banking, insolvency, litigation, and insurance sectors. Our partners David, Tom and Phil, will become partners of Gadens Brisbane (taking the number of partners to 26).

A central focus that drove the partners of Maunsell Pennington was the opportunities for additional areas of service to our clients.  As we move forward with this initiative, you will become aware of how you can access the additional services. In the meantime, www.gadens.com.au  contains information about services and the makeup of the Gadens national and Brisbane practices.

The merger will happen on 1 February 2011.  More information will be placed on both websites during that time including all of our new contact details. Any Wills safe custody packets will be relocated and remain accessible to clients on request.

Any clients with queries about how these changes affect them should get in touch with their usual point of contact at Maunsell Pennington.  Our lawyers.
