Michael has over 25 years experience as a partner in a Brisbane law firm across a number of areas of practice, but more recently has specialised in the areas of commercial and business law. He has regularly provided advice at Seminars for business groups and acts for a significant number of clients in the specialised area of newsagencies both in Qld and NSW. He also provides advice for a significant operator in the fitness industry.

Michael has experience as a full-time academic in business and law faculties of Queensland and NSW Universities and has lectured across a variety of areas including Commercial Law, Property Law and Ethics.  He has also lectured to law graduates undertaking practical legal training.

Michael has served on University Ethics committees as well as sporting disciplinary committees and is both a qualified and experienced Mediator.

Michael has over 10 years of experience sitting as a part-time member of various Queensland tribunals, in particular, the Misconduct Tribunal, including 2 years as its Senior Member, and the Guardianship and Administration Tribunal.

Outside of work, Michael likes to keep fit, enjoys kayaking, plays competition squash and attends the gym regularly.  Michael and his wife Trish are kept busy with 4 children, 3 of whom are studying law.

Michael handles the firm's estate planning and estate administration services and also assists clients in the areas of commercial and leasing matters, business conveyancing and property matters.
